Grounding

A method of connecting to the center of the earth energetically

·    Practiced throughout the world in many cultures Grounding techniques energetically center a person by connecting to the earth'senergy. Most of these techniques can easily be practiced within the system of Reiki. Below is just one of the many grounding techniques used within this system. Level 1 practitioners can practice it without using the symbols.

1. Sit calmly with your hands relaxed in your lap and your eyes closed.

2. Visualize Symbol 3, Symbol 2 and Symbol 1 and repeat each appropriate mantra three times.

3. Place your hands on the forehead and the back of your head and intend to send Reiki.

4. Place your hands on your sacral and send Reiki.

5. Place your hands over your knees and send Reiki.

6. Place your hands over your feet and send Reiki.
